In these locations one can encounter the last remaining vultures in Peloponnese, and several predator bird species, including Golden Eagles, Peregrine Falcons, Horned Owls, Lesser Kestrels, Woodpeckers, Scops Owls, Owls and Barn Owls. At the Osios Leontios and Taxiarches Monasteries one of the last vulture habitats exist.
At the Rakita Lake you will encounter Alpine Newts. Alpine Newt is an amphibious with a length of 8-12 cm and looks like a small dragon. It lives in high mountains, lakes and ponds. Agroville is the southernmost point in Europe where Alpine Newts have been encountered.
You will admire exquisite biological formations and landscapes of particular natural beauty, such as the Selinounda canyon, the Osios Leontios rock, the Gerakovouni rock and the peaks of Klokos and Barbas Mountains.
